Co-President and Vice President- Lynn Zeeman, RN, BSN |

Lynn graduated from UCLA in 1964 with a
BSN. She joined Alpha Tau Delta in 1962, joined the Gamma Pi
Alumni Chapter, and has been on the board since that time.
In 2003 at the Biennial ATD Convention, she was elected
National Vice President, and in that capacity serves as
Scholarship Chairperson. She retired from School Nursing in
1999, but still works part time for the Lawndale School
District, and also does audiometric testing of parochial
school students. Lynn has been married 37 years to her
wonderful husband, Bill, and has two children, Steve and
Kristie, and three grandchildren. She can be reached at

Co-President and Treasurer - Joni Cohen, PhD, RN |

Joni was elected Co-Presidient of Alpha Tau
Delta in August, 2007 and has also been serving as the
National Treasurer since May, 2002. She first became
involved in ATD when she was an undergraduate at the UCLA
School of Nursing and has been a member of the Gamma Pi
Alumni Chapter since her graduation. She is a Clinical Nurse
Specialist in psychiatric-mental health nursing and works
part-time at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans
Administration. She also teaches at Mount St. Mary’s
College, the Graduate Nursing School at Western University
of the Health Sciences, and is an Assistant Clinical
Professor at the UCLA School of Nursing. She also maintains
a private practice as a psychiatric nurse therapist. She has
a particular interest in the relationship between the
mind-body connection and its impact on health and well
being. She has been working with complementary therapies for
more than 20 years, including stress management,
acupressure, therapeutic touch, guided imagery, and
psychodrama. Her research interest is improving health care
outcomes in socially vulnerable populations. In June of
2002, she completed her doctoral dissertation at the UCLA
School of Nursing, “Decreasing distress in pregnant Latina

Susan is now the editor
of The Pulse and completed her term as National
President in August 2007. She first became involved in ATD
as the President of the Gamma Chapter at UCLA, which she
attended fro 1999 to 2001 to study for her Masters. She then
remained an active member of the Gamma Pi Alumni Chapter.
She was born in Toronto, Canada, and received her
undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in 1990.
She moved to Los Angeles almost seven years ago, and loves
living there. Currently she is the Nurse Practitioner for
the Thalassemia and Chronic Transfusion program at Childrens
Hospital Los Angeles. She can be reached at
